Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

We collect what we need to run everyscreen, improve it, and keep it secure. We do not sell personal information or use customer content for advertising, resale, or model training.

1. Scope

This policy explains how Nicholas Lambourne, NSW Australia, trading as everyscreen, handles personal information for the everyscreen public site, documentation, logged-in CMS, APIs, player software, downloadable player bundles, and related services.

We are building everyscreen for operators who need reliable digital signage without unnecessary surveillance. We collect what we need to run, secure, support, bill, and improve the service.

2. What we collect

For the public site, we collect waitlist email addresses, analytics events, page views, referrers, approximate location, device and browser details, UTM parameters, and interactions such as waitlist clicks and submissions. The waitlist form asks for email only.

For the product, we collect account and workspace details, team membership, billing state, screen and player metadata, player health, proof-of-play events, API usage, audit logs, security events, support messages, and settings you configure such as screen location, content tags, playlist metadata, and publishing history.

Customer content is private to the workspace and the screens you configure. That includes uploaded media, live web content settings, credentials, authenticator-app secrets, passkey records, and recovery data. We do not use customer content for advertising, resale, model training, or unrelated product research.

3. How we use it

We use personal information to provide the service, authenticate users, pair and operate screens, deliver content, process billing, prevent abuse, protect accounts, troubleshoot problems, provide support, measure reliability, and improve the product.

We use telemetry and metadata to understand what is working, where users get stuck, and which parts of the product need attention. Where practical, product improvement reporting uses aggregated or anonymized data rather than data that directly identifies a person.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer content for training AI models.

4. Analytics and tracking

On the public site and documentation, we ask for analytics consent before loading Google Analytics or similar browser-based tracking. If you decline, the site should still work.

Inside the logged-in product and players, operational telemetry is part of providing the service. By signing up for and using everyscreen, you agree that we may collect product analytics, diagnostics, security events, and player telemetry needed to run and improve the service.

We also operate self-hosted observability using Grafana-compatible OpenTelemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces. This helps us monitor reliability, investigate incidents, and improve performance.

5. Who processes it

We use trusted service providers to run everyscreen. These include hosting, storage, security, analytics, observability, email delivery, billing, and software operations providers. Current examples include Cloudflare, Hetzner, Google Analytics, Google OAuth, Grafana-compatible observability infrastructure, Resend, Paddle, and GitHub.

These providers process data for the purposes described in this policy. Some processing may happen outside Australia, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and other locations where those providers operate.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the service or users, to investigate abuse or security issues, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the service, security, legal, billing, audit, backup, and operational purposes described in this policy.

Waitlist data will be deleted within 30 days after public launch. After launch, waitlist-specific language in this policy should be removed or replaced with the then-current signup flow.

When an account or workspace is deleted, some data may remain for a limited period in backups, audit logs, billing records, abuse-prevention records, or legal records where we have a legitimate reason or obligation to keep it.

7. Your choices and rights

You can contact us to ask for access to your personal information, correction, export, deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. We will respond at least to the level required by applicable privacy law, and we aim to be straightforward and practical about it.

For public-site analytics, you can decline tracking when asked. If you previously accepted or declined, you can reset that choice from this Privacy Policy page without clearing all browser site data.

Email privacy requests to [email protected].

8. Children and younger users

everyscreen is not directed at children as direct customers, but younger users may see screens or may be invited to use a workspace by an organization such as a school, venue, employer, or community group.

Self-serve signup is for adults and authorized organization representatives, not for children opening their own direct customer accounts.

Workspace owners are responsible for making sure their use of everyscreen is appropriate for their users and audience, including obtaining any permissions needed for younger users in their organization or region.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, audit logs, encryption where appropriate, and operational monitoring.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects personal information, we will investigate and notify affected users where required by law or where notice is otherwise appropriate.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as everyscreen changes, as vendors change, or as legal requirements evolve. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the product, by email, or another appropriate channel.
